Every two years the Intercontinental Study Tour is organized by W.S.G. Isaac Newton. It gives 25 students the opportunity to explore the industries and exotic culture of one or more far-away countries. During a trip of three weeks, participants visit a variety of companies and institutions and in between there is time for sightseeing and relaxing. To fully enjoy the experiences abroad, students conduct a research beforehand. The research is related to the theme and focuses on both the culture of the country and its industries. After the tour, participants tend to spend about four weeks more at the respective continent to travel at their own.

In November 2010 the IMAGINATIONS Study Tour will carry its participants to the spectacular skyscrapers of Dubai and the exotic landscapes of Indonesia. The theme ‘Extremes’ virtually obliges us to only visit the most stunning of industries and most interesting of cultural places.
